The content will introduce genetics, embryology and fetal development. You will explore the perinatal, maternal and environmental factors that may impact neonatal outcomes during adaptation to extrauterine life. A systems approach to physiology, altered physiology and pathophysiology will be adopted to support you develop assessment skills in relation to neonatal health and wellbeing.You will critically engage with the global evidence-base on neonatal special and transitional care building relevant research skills.
