Description of module content:

In this module you will be introduced to foundational web technologies. The module provides an overview of technologies involved in the development of websites and basic networking protocols for the internet. You will build skills in web page design and development, including HTML and CSS. You will also build your skills in client and server side programming using JavaScript.

Learning Outcomes for module:

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Describe Internet and World Wide Web technology standards.

LO2: Identify and apply an appropriate web page development methodology.

LO3: Demonstrate competence in the use of authoring tools & markup languages.
